Let us show you the way

With experience across a number of different signage and wayfinding categories, we can plan, design and locate the most appropriate, cost-effective signage solution. We start by mapping the customer journey and scheduling sign locations followed by sign design, detailed drawings and overseeing production and installation. Here is a selection of the signage and wayfinding areas where we continue to work.

Architectural signage

Architectural signage

We have created wayfinding strategies and designed signs for a diverse range of public environments including shopping centres, airports, train stations, petrol stations and public open spaces.

Whether the task is to provide people with the means of finding their own way around or directing them to where they need to go, we have the skills and experience to develop the most appropriate solutions.

Transport signage

Transport signage

Rethinking the signage for a public transport system of a European capital city is a major task. Station or stop signs, directional signage, route maps, information panels, codifications for different modes of transport must all come together to form a cohesive, seamless, clutter-free system that is easy for people to follow.

Our group has worked with Transport for London, STIB (Brussels) and also Sydney’s public transport system, drawing on our expertise and know-how worldwide to provide consultancy advice and design for this type of busy urban environment.

Information design

Information design

From print to online, to environmental to experiential, we help end users navigate an increasingly complex landscape of messages by designing information that is visually striking yet concise and supremely functional.

As information designers we take a multi- and interdisciplinary approach, combining skills from graphic design, web design, 3D design, psychology, cognitive science, information theory and cultural studies.

There's often more than meets the eye to organising, combining, condensing and visualising complex data, so it helps to see the forest as well as the trees!

Store signage

Store signage

To provide a positive customer experience for visitors to any medium to large retail space, highly visible, clear wayfinding and signage are essential.

Retail sign systems are split into distinct hierarchies: aisle product category/location, shelf product description, product information and price, directional signage and service location.

Our signage and wayfinding team has vast experience of working with major retailers worldwide.

Temporary signage

Temporary signage

A major sporting, cultural or commercial event will often require temporary event signage. Our specialist expertise covers both strategy formulation and design execution; from the technical design of the 3D prototype to the overarching visual look.

Designed for easy installation and dismantling, temporary wayfinding needs to be structurally safe and capable of withstanding windloading as well as vandalism. Sustainablility, accessibility and inclusivity are equally important considerations for stakeholders involved in public events with whom we liaise closely to proactively ensure key targets are achieved.

Temporary wayfinding signage sometimes finds visual inspiration in the 'look design' of the hosted event and in this respect we have broad expertise from the creation of the overall visual identity to brand management.

Interactive signage

Interactive signage

The opportunities to make impactful connections with your target audience is greatly enhanced with interactive signage such as touchscreen maps, digital kiosks, eye catching video walls and point of purchase shelf talkers.

But such technology is of little use without the right content and mix of creativity to develop rich, connected and immersive user experiences.

Whether you want to use digital place-based media to drive sales or as part of a long term strategy of building brand loyalty we can help you to innovate with tailored, scalable solutions that match your needs and requirements.

Interpretive design

Interpretive design

A way of imparting messages to visitors in a memorable way, interpretation aims to improve understanding and enjoyment through provoking interest. Engaging stories can be told in a variety of ways from mechanical interactives, lightboxes and other graphic displays to digital medias such as touchscreen technology, video walls, QR code enabled graphic panels and smartphone apps.

Our exhibit planning and design roots go back almost half a century. These days we incorporate an agile team comprising a mix of in-house talent and specialists selected from a growing network of young and highly qualified freelance operatives who are dedicated to the cultural heritage and museum sector. This balance of youth, specialist knowledge and experience ensures that we can continually add-value and build custom solutions on-time, on budget and beyond expectation.
